Douglas DC-10 "Tanker 910" - largest jet air tanker currently in fire service

Wow! So CSI is now both believable and original. Brilliant!

:Sarcasm Over:
::Insert 2 credits to continue::

How hard would it be to land that thing with that tank on its belly!!

Why would it be any harder than a normal plane?

*Gman, being curious, inserts 2 credits to see what will happen*
Just announced! Your local university is now putting the hours you've watched CSI toward your criminal justice degree!

Back taxiing to the topic. (Ha! Aviation geek joke there) I've always wondered how it would feel to fly these big tankers as they suddenly lose all that weight. I think it would be a bit like hitting an updraft but then again it could be completely different.

Well you guys finally beat our Mars.

Because the wheels are close to the tank and that gives it only a tiny margin for error.
I don't get it. Where's the margin of error? It's not like you can put the wheels through the runway. When you land, the wheels will touch first no matter what.

Dont worry
