i was given the idea to torrent the dvds that i've made for myself of top gear. refer to this: http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=8611.

would people want to download a 4.7GB dvd of this? if so, i would be glad to torrent these and distribute them. i find it nice to have it as a dvd so as i can watch it anywhere i want. i'd like to hear other options for them too.

Yes, I'd be very interested if there's enough seeders so I don't have to download for five years.

How easy are they to make anyway? Can I make it myself?

Yeah I would be very interested. Download them and burn them on DVD, that would save space on my laptop and I'd be able to watch them on my big plasma in my room. sounds good to me.

 love your sig pic Shawn_230.
i use dvd-lab pro by mediachance to make mine. software to make the menus and the actual dvds aren't cheap, but also, there are some freeware ones. the one i use wasn't cheap, but was easiest to use and intuitive to make. check this website: http://www.videohelp.com to see the different dvd tools, and get an idea of what it takes to make one.

Yeah, so I would rather download them then if it's not that simple. I guess torrent the sixth series if you have it first?

Do you have all the episodes? And at what quality?

i've got every one. the first series unfortunately is mostly from JW and Maxiuca, so quality isn't very good. still watchable. all of the other series are from here, Vuk.

Most of my series 1 episodes are similar quality to series 2-4/5... I'm not sure whose rips they are.

Don't remember exactly, from an FTP on here I believe.

So would it only be like 2 or 3 episodes for each 4.78GB file? That seems like a lot of downloading for that.

Most DVD burners come with Nero, which makes it simple to burn DVDs. Just drag and drop the AVI files, and the menus are just as easy.

But if people don't have access to something like that, then maybe it would be a good option for them. Nice of you to offer :)

Yes, Nero makes it a piece of cake ;)

Just just drag y drop? How do you do the menus?

i've got five episodes on each disc. trying to put any more would have made the disc unreadable to any dvd drive or player. it has to do with the bit rate. series 6 is on 3 discs. this series, 7, will be on two, as i've been downloading the 700MB files, and think it looks great. however, i can squeeze all 6 Vuk rips onto a disc if people would like. let me know.

i thought the Nero that came with drives was to just burn a dvd, not to make menus and stuff. but i could be wrong.

It has a ton of pre-made ones, with buttons and everything. You can change the background pic, font, colors, everything. It walks you right through it.

Oh man, it's so easy to get Nerovision Express and make the DVDs. I'm just saying this to save people's bandwidth, not to depreciate your offering, btw.

What program of Nero do you go into? Because I only installed the BurningROM... have to get the rest if I need them for this.

Exactly. I didn't want to take away from your offer either :)
