Downloading TG episode

I have just downloaded a Top Gear episode through this site, and when i go to play it dosnt work, it says that the player dosnt support it. I have tried to convert it but it wont let me because once again it says that the file is not supported.

Has anyone else had the same problem, and have you got a solution?[/img][/url]
 
well you didnt actually download it from here. it was from Mininova :whistle:
but anyway, download VLC media player, it basically plays everything known to man.
 
^That and make sure you have Xvid installed aswell..

If your still getting error messages, use the "run" command in the start menu and type in "dxdiag.exe" and that'll tell you whats wrong..

Also Gspot...that tells you what codecs you require. But don't JUST type in gspot on google cos you might not find what you were looking for...
 
You don't need anything installed to run it in vlc.

not always true. i had to install XVid to watch a movie on VLC. the video itself wouldnt play, just the audio
