DPI Tutorial #1 - Handheld panning

Need help in perfecting some shots....

When the car is relatively close to you, the clarity is sharp on one part of the car, but not the other. Some examples...

Thing that bugs me is that sometimes my shots come perfectly without blur, so i dont know what I am doing wrong...

Semi off topic question, what is shutter priority? I have the Tv Setting on my mom's canon G6 which i use often and i was wondering if its better to use when you have limited time to snap a shot.

I don't get it :???: what is 'perpendicular'...?
I get that turning focal plane thiny a lot 2, but it seems I lack intelligence to figure that tip out...

Yeh turning focal plane is a bitch, but it can be used to get some cool effects on low shutters speeds!

I couldnt manage to find a ride and then I couldnt be bothered to find a train. So I improvised on my uni campus

THe best advice I ever received on panning was from Ross on Doristars ...

Pan-o-vision is what I most in photography.... PS am I the only one who uses manual focus rather than AF in my pans? I don't know if I could trust my AF to keep up in burst mode.

All at 1/40... brave shutter speed but it means i don't get many keepers.
