Okay, with Blind_Io's permission I'm starting a dream garage thread for bikes. Rules are the same as Blind's thread about picking one production vehicle per-country. You must pick a motorbike from each country (scooters, trikes and sidecars permitted).
-USA
-England
-Germany
-Italy
-Russia
-Japan
(and to really make it challenging)
-Korea
-France
-China
If I forget any other bike-making nation let me know.
Even if you don't ride, you can still participate, you just have to fill all the slots.
So 1 motorbike per country, no cheating etc. Pics are appreciated and will spice up the thread a little. Best of luck!

Too many from Italy, England and Japan for me to choose just one. So I went with the most rare of the bunch. The jury would have also accepted the Moto Guzzi Ambassador, Ducati SportClassic, anything from Triumph, first-gen Suzuki Katana (with the folding front headlight), anything with a factory-installed turbo, or the Honda Super Blackbird.

Sorry but there's only one vehicle I'd ever need with fewer than 4 wheels, and it's Canadian.

Those are the easy choices. (and yes I know KTM is Austrian. Same thing as Germany.)

Fail. Fail in so many ways.

Those things are sodding horrible.

Please remember the rules!

you must pick a motorbike from each country (scooters, trikes and sidecars permitted).
-USA
-England
-Germany
-Italy
-Russia

-Japan
(and to really make it challenging)
-Korea
-France
-China

USA- Buell XB12
England- BSA Goldstar 500/Rocket 650
Germany- BMW R34
Italy- Ducati Hypermotard 1100
Russia- Ural Ranger
Japan- Honda CB500T (mentions: YBR125, my current bike and DT360, my first bike)
Korea- Hyosung GT650
France- Motobecane something or other :p
China- Any knockoff of the above to screw around on and not care about repair bills.

-USA: Almost any Rokon model; the world's only amphibious 2WD utility motorcycle.

-Germany: BMW K100RS:

-Russia: Ural Patrol - 2WD sidehack rig, designed for rough terrain use.

-Japan: Honda RC166. God's racebike. Period. Made using materials and techniques that we still don't know how to make let alone duplicate today - almost fifty years later.

-Korea: Hyosung GT650. Sure, it's a clone of the SV650 which is a clone of the Honda NT650, but it's the best Korea has. Pictured upthread already.

-France: Scorpa T-Ride. It sucks, but I chose it because all other French motorcycles appear to suck worse.

-China: Asiawing Spark 500. Same reasons as the French bike.

This is the toughest dream garage I've ever done - there are too many American, British, Japanese, German, & Italian choices; and there really are no Chinese, Korean, or Russian bikes that I want. In the end, I decided to just get a well-rounded garage.

USA: MTT Y2K Superbike - why not a jet-powered motorcycle?
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/BR06.jpg

UK: Triumph Speed Triple
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/2007_Triumph_Speed_Triple_2.jpg

Germany: BMW K1300 GT - I needed a Touring bike
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/bmw-k1300gt-photo-1-950x704.jpg

Italy: Ducati 1098
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/Ducati_1098_2008.jpg

Russia: Ural "Red October"
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/DSC_3465.jpg

Japan: Yamaha Roadliner Midnight (I'd swap those ugly wheels for a set of billet smoothies, though.)
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/Yamaha_Roadliner_Midnight.jpg

Korea: Hyosung GT650 - the Hyundai Genesis of motorcycles :D
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/786669873_e091548a19.jpg

France: Peugeot Satelis 500 - I needed a scooter, and as far as I'm concerned - when it comes to scooters - go big or go home.
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/09/satelis_500_rs_2008.jpg

China: Lifan LX200GY - the toughest choice. There didn't seem to be a whole lot that interested me from China. But I had to pick something.

Well, that's where it gets a bit iffy. :p Yes, Husqvarna (the motorcycle manufacturer is a completely different company than the chainsaw etc. maker, btw) started out as a Swedish company. But in the late 80ies, it was acquired by Cagiva, and the whole company moved to Italy. Since 2007, it's under BMW's ownership, but still remains in Italy.
I admit, I might be loopholing here, but I still think it's fair to categorize as Italian when that's where the company is actually based nowadays.
