DVD ripping

can somebody direct me to a tutorial of how to copy some dvds that I bought so I can watch them on my laptop that doesn't have a dvd drive.

im using a mac but my laptop is windows

Hmm, mac tools eh?

If you were on Windows I'd tell you to go here: http://www.doom9.org/
You may be able to check out their forums tho, maybe they have a good Mac place you can go to... if someone here doesn't know anyway

i might have confused you. I know how to rip on a mac but I need directions for windows. Ill try that link you gave.

Yeah, that link should be helpful...use GordianKnot will the XviD codec and AC3 or MP3 audio, results should kick ass 8)

they may still have that Auto GordianKnot on the site too, it's like an automated one...

All you need for DVD-->AVI is:

1] Dvd decrypter
2] Auto Gordian Knot.

and read up @ www.doom9.org

For DVD->DVD

DVD Shrink is the way to go.
