Since I cant find the original connector for the trunk release button, went full DIY on it.

Heat shrunk the connectors:

Put them in the pins:

Hot glue'd the whole thing:

Marked the wires:

Glovebox comes out:

Found the connector:

Installed the wire:

Took the Vcc and GND from the headlight switch. Snaked the wire through the center console and soldered the wires. DONE!

TMPS also arrived. First startup:

This is how it looks on the wheel, its really silly but nothing i can do about that.

After some 20min drive:

Picked up the new window cowl.

This is how it looked in April:

Its much worse today. So out with the old, in with the new :

But the whole install didnt really go smoothly. First i dropped the wiper nut in the motor and cant find it for the life of me. But its not a standard size, its a M10 thread but a 15mm wrench. I only found M10 with a 17mm wrench, its all fine and functional but the plastic nut cap doesnt fit. So ill have to order that. Also while cleaning the dirt on the window sides ive messed up the rubber covers. They've deteriorated from the sun in the same way the cowl did. So that also another thing to change. These things :

Left apron cover 51718232633 Right apron cover 51718232634.

The prices from my local dealer :

51 71 8 232 633 apron cover 55.18kn
51 71 8 232 634 apron cover 59.28kn
51 71 8 177 846 KOPČA 9.48kn
61 61 3 428 077 Nut 7.75kn

Not the end of the world.

For Christmas went to Split to visit wife's family. One winter beach pic :

Also got all of the Arduino parts to play with tom put in the car. Got a small OLED screen i plan to show some canbus info on it and perhaps the TPMS sensor data if i manage to decode the data. Could look like the :

Interesting modifications.

Just curious... what's the trunk release button for? Don't these have a release button on the tailgate itself?

You can open the trunk with the key fob or on the tailgate itself like you said. This is just another way of opening the trunk from within the car. Didnt have that originally, simple retrofit to do so why not :)

Had some time on my hands today so I've drilled the holes for the winter grill covers.

The holes aren't the prettiest thing in the world, but they're functional. :) Covers are firmly attached and easily removable. The effects (if any) will be tested in the mornings to come . . .

Also made some covers for the TPMS sensors, i thought they would come in the kit, but i guess i was wrong. Looks a bit cleaner this way and its at least some protection from the elements.

Thanks to Eye-Q I now have a complete amber blinker set for the car. When the weather allows I'll swap them out and see which colour fits the car better. :)

My son kinda outgrew his group 0 car seat, still usable but he's gonna need a new one soon. So after looking for quite a while for the best one i got this one :
