From autospies.com...

If you own a Mercedes E55 fan (AWESOME CAR!) and you're reading all the propaganda about how the new BMW M5 will beat the performance numbers of the E55 when it comes out, we have news for you.

They're right!

But what the propagandist's don't know, is that Mercedes knows that too and has a little surprise waiting in the wings, that will end the peeing contest once and for all.

And its name is...The E65!

It should be one heck of a shootout...Will MB topple the new M5's crown?

We can't wait to find out!

But can it go 'round the Top Gear track, faster than the new M5? I say...maybe, that's a lot of grunt to make up for the Mercedes' cornering genes.

I highly doubt that they really gonna make an E65...

since when is the M5 a performance beast? i allways taught about it as being an overweighted cruise car, no more than that. the M3 beats the M5 in every corner

An E39 M5 was faster than a E55 AMG around a track already...

I don't think it'll eat an M5 on the track, maybe in a straight line if it can get traction

Since they made it lighter and put a 507Bhp V10 in it

just like the TG episode.

I think the traction problem isn't that bad, they've tricked it!
It was wet and he braked while trying to accelerate.

Yeah that was obvious, with all those electronics that couldn't happen (not turned off)...but the point he made was clear. With all those electronics the power is not used 100%
