There's nothing like good old House :D

The best House song EVER (just after Voyager :p)

I miss those times... :(
^Ah yes, some songs I will never forget :D great classics.
I'm also quite fond of DnB especially Pendulum

I like DnB, Pendulum's old stuff is good before they went all commercial.
Listen to this stuff with a big sub or don't bother.

This track is pretty epic, Pendulum and Bulletproof...

How about some Bad Company classics...

Edit for this one. It's actually a DJ Trace track rmx by Technical Itch.
It's all kinds of heavy and just when you think there is nothing more to give it drops the Hoover from hell at 3:07...

Some fine Minimal/House:

I have to put this here.
Maybe it's just me but i get that feeling, the build up, then at 3:45... makes my skin tingle.
I just want to be in that crowd of people at that moment.

Anyone who says you have to be on drugs to enjoy this music is wrong.
I am sitting here on a monday afternoon drinking a cup of coffee and i am feeling it.

So many good memories. :)
As much I love Armin (as an artist and for the contribution to the scene)... generally I don't like his own tracks too much. There is just one that really gives me goosebumps eversince

I never forget when I heard it for the first time life... in an ocean of lasers and 18.000 people around me... just awesome deep original Trance... when this piano comes... and then the melody... with no "Pop" influence like most tracks now. Awesome...

Attention: The track I'm talking aout just starts after about 20 seconds in this video

Thats gives a clue how it was from my perspective...

Also this one... listen to the crowd :shock::shock:

It was mind blowing!!!

Who's mind doesn't blow while listening to Veracocha's Carte Blanche??? :D

Veracocha + Wipeout HD = Too awesome
Mhhh... my grandmothers! :p

No really this exact moment was one of the most memorable experiences I've ever had (concerning clubbing).

It was my first big event in Holland... and although I expected a lot.. the actual experience trumped everything. It really was spiritual... without any drugs!!! It was so amazing, it kept me awake for 2 days.

The overall experience in Holland.. the people there are different in so many ways from the people here. They really go for the music, and the experience. Everybody knows the tracks... sings with the vocals... knows the brakes etc. It's such an intense feeling in the crowd.. awesome.

Here in my area people only go to EDM club nights because they are bored and know nothing else to do. There is no spirit... and they don't really care what is played

'Sadly' I've seen a lot since that and although i really really enjoy it... it doesn't give me such a big kick like the first time.

I should have subscribed to this thread  Now I have to go through all three pages

Yah, thats what you should do when you start an 'epic' thread that will never be done discussing... or come to a final conclusion  :p ;)

Well, because I'm just in the mood. Last Friday I went to Frankfurt to see Claudia Cazacu, Talla2XLC and some of the residents. Talla played a new remix of one of favorite my all time vocal Trance classics. There are countles remixes, for most of them I just hate their existance because they destroy the beauty of the original... but I really like this one

Got up early, found something's missing
my only name.
No one else sees but I got stuck,
and soon forever came.
Stopped pushing on for just a second,
then nothing's changed.
Who am I this time, where's my name
I guess it crept away.

No one's calling for me at the door.
And unpredictable won't bother anymore.
And silently gets harder to ignore.
Look straight ahead, there's nothing left to see.
What's done is done, this life has got it's hold on me.
Just let it go, what now can never be.

I forgot that I might see,
So many beautful things.
I forgot that I might need,
to find out what life could bring.

Take this happy ending away, it's all the same.
God won't waste this simplicity on possibility.
Get me up, wake me up, dreams are filling
this trace of blame.
Frozen still I thought I could stop,
now who's gonna wait.

No one's calling for me at the door.
and unpredictable won't bother anymore.
and silently gets harder to ignore.
look straight ahead, there's nothing left to see.
what's done is done, this life has got it's hold on me.
just let it go, what now can never be.

so many beautiful things...
so many beautiful things...

Now what do I do
can I change my mind
did I think things through

It was once my life
it was my life at one time

This applies to many things

My most notable experience to date must've been when the Crookers played in Hasselt (Belgium) last year. The crowd too went absolutely bonkers.

Also from that very festival:

Dr Lektroluv

Booka Shade

Dizzee Rascal, everyone was just going out of there minds :p

Hehe... yah ok. I know the feeling. But there is nothing in the world I hate more than stuff like this so it also gives me shivers.. but for different reasons ;)

PS: No offense :comfort:

^ Why's that :p
I can't give you a specific objective reason. Only a shipload of subjective ones . And if I elaborate, it might get offensive because I have to focus my hatred about this subgenre on something and that might hurt some people.

Trust me, it's not worth the typing, I went down this road far too often in the past
... just enjoy it..
In the end it's a matter of taste :p
^ Ah well yes, if it's about Dizzee Rascal I wasn't sure if I should post it because I'm not actually a fan either but at that moment I didn't mind because everyone was just partying like crazy :p

All others I've posted I really do like (or if it's about festivals in general) and I won't take offense by someones subjective opinion :) everyone is entitled to have one and I respect every possible one ;)

I <3 this thread. Went through all the links... now for the youtube videos... there's a lot of them

You didn't answer my question though :p

*EDM = Electronic Dance Music

Don't think this exists yet, so here we go.

I'll kick the thread off by saying that I'm really into hardstyle; stuff like Showtek:

What a surprise :) Seriously! Are you familiar with my Avatar?
