I was at Sensation Black last year and probably will be there again this year
Well over here you only have to go about 20 meters to go from a place where they play house to a place where they play hardstyle.
And if you want to go to a big club it isn't that far either because, lets face it, Belgium is very tiny
You mean 2008? 2009 there wasn't any
Never knew that about Tiesto with the bodyguards... seems a bit over the top.
I like it when a dj goes and mixes with the crowd after he finishes playing his set.
I've seen Tiesto for the first time in 2005. He was very big then, bigger than today. Anyway... i was next to the deejay-booth and was trying to take a picture with my cellphone... but a body guard stepped in and threatened to take it away
That was so pointless... because it was so crowded and everyone was taking pictures and he only had very limited range to stop people from doing it.

Here... the guy in the suit is the bodyguard.. was standing right on the left of him.. just out of the frame. And you can see other people take pictures
The next 'incident' i know of, was at Nature One 2008, the biggest Open Air Event in Germany (for EDM) with about ~58.000 people. The party host had a camera crew who filmed and put the clips of it on the Internet afterwards. Worked fine for every DJ... except Tiesto, he refused to play with the camera on stage. He also didn't allow the lasers to be turned on during his set. I don't know the reasons for that... but the LJ's were not very happy about that.
Then there was another thing on a Queensday Event in.. Amsterdam? Or another town in the Netherlands.. I'm not sure. Anyway, the host there was Radio 538, where Tiesto has a radio show. They also invited Armin for the event, but Tiesto threatened to end his contract with Radio 538, if they let Armin play there... wtf
But.. well I was just told about that and read about it in other forums. So not sure how true it is. The other both stories i experienced first hand..
Anyway... a bit more backstage stuff of Armin

This is a video documentary about Trance Energy 2008 by a Czech community. Gives really nice impressions about the event. Also a many interviews with the DJ's, including on with Armin, who was there just as a visitor for fun. He wasn't playing at that day. Really worth watching!!!
