Almost every Hardstyle act these days got famous with them. Including Showtek, you mentioned. They made anthems for the events. The label Showtek uses for their productions Scantraxx Records are presented at almost every event. Often with an own stage or tent.

If you like it, I suggest you watch the Qlimax Bluray, luckily somebody put it on youtube :p

This will occupy you for quiet a while, but it's really worth watching!!! better watch it at youtube itself, because you can choose HD Video there

Ewww, hardstyle is not my kind of music - IMO it's just too simple and shallow. Power to you, if you can enjoy it being completely sober :D

Here's some deep stuff of my liking:

Oh yes!!! Ferry rocks!!!

Not too far from me, but in Luxemburg, there is a little village called Echternach. It has about 5000 inhabitants. But every summer they have a 'village' festival with different kinds of music on the 3 days of the weekend. One day is EDM... different styles. House, Techno, Electro, Trance. Last year when i checked the Lineup, I could not believe it.

They had booked Ferry Corsten:shock:

http://www.elake.lu/en/line-up/line-up-2009.html

It's a free festival  No entry fee at all... well I had no choice but to go. Ferry played 'late' (at least for this town festival) from 1 am to 3 am. Most visitors there are underage and had to leave at mindnight :p So Ferry played a great set, I had plenty of space and although I'm not the tallest person very good view towards the stage... unlike all the previous times I've seen Ferry from literally miles away...

It was really fun and a goood compensation for me missing Ferry's set the week before at Nature One because it was also Open Air and started heavily raining just minutes after he started

Anyway, another great Ferry classic and clip

Ferry Corsten is awesome!

"Ferry Corsten? I wonder who he is? Lemme click the link and have a listen..."
*click*
"Holy crap, it's THAT SONG!"

And that's what happens, folks, when 90% of the EDM you listen to is DJ mixes.

+1 for you, sir.

Last summer these were a big hit in the clubs by Ferry

And here is another of my favorite classic Tracks... System F - Exhale. This track was produced together by Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten at the beginning of their careers when they weren't sooooo famous yet

But still an awesome tune

In my opinion of of the biggest tracks in Trance history

Great.

I also like the original mix of the Bobina track... it's a bit more energetic and less "dreamy" :p Most time difficult to decide what to play when mixing.

Lovely classic :D

Well it's impressive... and fun to watch. But i can't imagine myself going to an event with 9-18 hours of that stuff :p Would suck after a while while EDM doesn't.

PS: This is a very fortunate skill if there is a Blackout and you have to keep a party running.

PPS: I watched some more.. really stunning that guy

^ Thats awesome thanks for posting.

I get that feeling about Armin being a nice guy. Just listening to his radio show he seems friendly.

I found another Armin van Buuren documentary called "Summer of Armin"... It follows Armin during a couple of days where he plays at Clubs in Ibiza (Spain), Mykonos (Greece), Cyprus, Kazantip (Ukraine), Poznan (Poland)

PS: Also on youtube in 11 parts
