Arsenal with a 3rd place finish. Given the start of our season, I am over the moon. My posts from the start clearly state the depression of the beginning games, I was convinced we were getting relegated.

What a finish to the season. Honestly I don't know what would have happened if City didn't win although there'd be lots of  for sure.

Sunday 13th May 2012

Chelsea 2-1 Blackburn
Everton 3-1 Newcastle
Man City 3-2 QPR
Man City are Champions

Norwich 2-0 Aston Villa
Stoke 2-2 Bolton
Sunderland 0-1 Man Utd
Swansea 1-0 Liverpool

Tottenham 2-0 Fulham
West Brom 2-3 Arsenal
Wigan 3-2 Wolves

* * *

Well, that was quite a season.

Well dones to the following:
Arsenal for finishing third.
Spurs for getting fourth and the possiblity of the UCL place.
All three of the rookie teams, especially Swansea and Norwich.
Everton for finishing ahead of Liverpool. (Yeah, all that matters in the land of Scouse.)
Wigan for a good closing run which kept them in the league.

All the teams for scoring a record number of 1066 goals this season.
To Robin van Persie for winning the Golden Boot. (30 goals in 37 apps.)
And Papiss Cisse for THAT goal winning BBC's "Goal of the Season" award.

So you should be! Well done to the Gunners, now Pat Rice has left, maybe they will get a new defensive coach.

It has been another great season, hope to see you all again in August.

Thanks for all the posts & comments guys.

Hadn't seen it... oh man what a stunner. Not only an unbelievable goal... but also scored against one of the best teams, with one of the best goalkeepers... goal of the decade.

I don't think he was seriously going for goal, I still prefer peter crouch's against city.

They're similar, but Cisse's makes a way crazier arc you almost never see. And I think they were both going for goal... that was too aggressive to be a cross.
It's like one of those NBA tosses when there's only half a second left and the player is in their own half, they just shoot it up there and hope for the best.

 :lmao:

My personal favourite...

So apparently Dalglish is no more managing LFC. Not quite sure if that's the way to go. You can't expect instant succes from the likes of Charlie Adam, Jay Spearing and whatnot.

The guy spent 113 million pounds on players in the 1 and a half seasons he was there and managed to come 8th in the league this season and a carling cup. Not to mention the attrocious football they've played at times. Needed to be sacked.

I cant possibly expect any success with those crappy buys e.g. stewart downing, ?20m, 36 games, 0 goals 0 assists. LOL.
