Qualified teams

Hosts: Poland, Ukraine

Group Winners: Germany, Russia, Italy, France, Netherlands, Greece, England, Denmark, Spain

Best Runners-up: Sweden

Play-off Winners: Croatia, Czech Republic, Ireland, Portugal

This is how the teams are lined up for the final draw:

Pot 1
Ukraine
Poland
Spain
Netherlands

Pot 2
Germany
Italy
England
Russia

Pot 3
Croatia
Greece
Portugal
Sweden

Pot 4
Denmark
France
Czech Republic
Republic of Ireland

As mentioned previously, there's quality spread across the board this time round due to the fact that the Ukraine and Poland are seeds (normally, they'd be further down). This could be the craziest draw in years.

Would have thought that England was the weaker team in Pot 2, no?

From each pot, my guess is Poland, England, Greece and Ireland are the weaker ones. The England Coach is leaving after the tournament, they rarely play as well as they should and media hype puts too much pressure on them. Also, Rooney, for example, said he prefers Champions League to the World Cup. Put that down as attitude problem. Maybe England will exceed expectations.

But it's tournament football, so who knows? Greece won it once with a boring but effective cointer-attacking at set piece strategy.

:dunno:

Spain, Germany, Portugal and Denmark, now that would be interesting! Though it would mean a short tournament for us.. :D

Yes, and often with some pretty decent results... :D

Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal and Germany! Insane group, Lots of fun :D

That is a tough Group and Spain's group is nearly as bad.

England in Group D, which is in what looks like the second easiest.

Poland, Italy, Greece and Denmark, please.

Guess I jinxed it...Oh well, should be interesting.

Here's hoping that young Christian Eriksen can live up to the high expectations. We might also experience a "battle of the talents" between him and Mario G?tze. Can't remember if Portugal and Netherlands have any youngsters of interest.

Fratelli d'Italia....!!!!!

Oh god damn it... Look at group A and group B. What the hell. Group B games would be good for quarter or even semi finals!

In any case, we're f***ed

I'm quitely optimistic.. :p Though realistically, the Netherlands and Germany are clear favourites to progress from the group. We usually fare pretty well as underdogs, so I'm hoping for some strong performances - or just some entertaining football matches :)

Group of Death is for sure Group 2.

I jump on the German bandwagon for Euro, since my dad is German. Woo.

Plan on watching Germany's first match here:

Goalkeepers: Joe Hart (Man City), Rob Green (West Ham), John Ruddy (Norwich)

Defenders: Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Phil Jones (Man United), John Terry (Chelsea), Joleon Lescott (Man City), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Leighton Baines (Everton)

Midfielders: Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Gareth Barry (Man City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Scott Parker (Tottenham), Ashley Young (Man United), James Milner (Man City)

Forwards: Wayne Rooney (Man United), Danny Welbeck (Man United), Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham)

Never heard of that Norwich-keeper, but I guess he's deserved a spot in the team. Stewart Downing, on the other hand? Really?

Now for F**** Sake practice taking penalties - hundreds of them, all of the squad keepers included.

If we do that then team members WILL have confidence taking them in the finals.

I'll be in Poland while the games are taking place although I won't be in any of the cities that are hosting the matches. Hopefully they'll have some fanzones though in the cities down south where I'll be.
