I heard that they couldn't believe how much better all round it is compared to the C6 like driving a different car especially when pushed to the limit's,

It's also easier to place and settles into a corner more readily than the C6, but sharp mid corner bumps can still upset the Z06's poise with a Buck that seems to kick across the front and rear Transverse composite leaf springs in turn

the front end acting a split seccond before the rear but it's a trait rather than a mortal failing, for it requires nothing more than to accept it and ride it out (but it takes some getting used to).
and the Verdict on the Z06.............................

ZO6- " while it's mildly disappointing to report that the Z06 isn't the pure bread road racer that it's detailed development and exotic specification led us to belive, we remain awed at it's pace, bowled over at the level of improvement over the standard C6, and incredulous at it's bargain price and how it combines 500bhp with every day practicality. It might not be Americas answer to the GT3RS, but when the new 997 Turbo is launched later this year, we know what we'll be measuring it against "- EVO mag

I can do better if you want, I can go scan the whole thing and stick it here.

For obvious reasons, these are just thumbnails, click to open in a new window [or if you're smart and use Firefox or Opera, open then in a new tab].

56kers I'd advise you to run screaming.

If you want any embiggenified even more, for wallpaper for example, drop me a PM and I'm happy to oblige.

The second opinion section also holds some interesting points. The Z06 is really not like other sportscars in its class. It has no wing and is somewhat subued in its looks.

Great read, I absolutely love the Z06 so much.

Thank you very much! :)

Call me crazy, but if I had to choose, it would be a struggle between the Noble and the Lotus, with the Lotus winning in the end. Can I have the Lotus under the bridge bigger, please?

Heh, you're not crazy, I was thinking the exact same if I gotta choose.

I'll have to rescan them - I kinda forgot to save the original massive ones - but I'll do that tonight and post 'em here for you. :)

i would take the vette any day.
you get muscle car charm, its by far the best looking one, huge engine, the most equipment and best of all is the price!

I was checking one out yesterday, and it is a great looking car. The interior is still terribly cheap feeling but it is getting better. The back end still has the flimsy bumper you can push in a few inches by the tail lights. And when i did that about 10 people gawking at the car had a terrible realiztion that it wasn't superman. It looked like a case of never meet your heroes, so it was kinda funny.

My verdict was.... The Vette is getting better by leaps and bounds, but would I buy one with my money? No.

Transverse. It's got 1 spring up front and 1 on the rear. They also double as Sway bars, shaving weight had they not still needed a proper sway bar. depending on the location of the shackle, depends on how "big of a sway bar" you'll have (for lack of better terminology). The 2 springs are also lighter than normal coil springs since they are carbon fibre and/or fiberglass (depending on which vette you get).
