F1 Game #2 - Guess the car

I am going to say the Matra MS10 for the same reasons as Necx0

Hahahaha I was hoping Vikirad would see this before now and if it WAS indeed the MS10 he would give me the points anyway given the similarities. You evil scheming bastard :p Given the wings thing I went with 1969 as not all the cars had wings in 1968.....so fingers crossed I am right haha

And Necx0 is indeed right. It's the Matra MS80, driven by John Young "Jackie" Stewart and Jean-Pierre Beltoise during the 1969 season, a car which won Jackie's last race with a Matra chassis, since the Tyrrell team used a March chassis in '70 and then their own cars from '71 onwards.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WWWWWWWWWIIIIIIINNNNNNNAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd like to thank my parents, and my friends and.......wait what??.....shut up??? oh all right then :(

I really need to start reading the answers properly... I missed the 'not' in 'did not use slicks' which made me think of pre-flat bottom cars of early eighties :?

Round scoreboard after the countbacks:

Necx0 9
Hazardous 4
gti138 3
Gman333-x-Ferrari 3
Joc? 3
Peter3hg 2
AnGuRuSO 2
THE REAL STIG 1

Peter3hg gets 2 points despite the failed guess, because his guess fitted the clues, but was not correct. And also Hazardous' last question, asked before the guess, is counted.

Leaderboard after this round... gti138 still leads, but Necx0 has moved up to second place, and Hazardous is coming up fast as well, climbing from mid-pack to 4th place. 10 rounds left, and only the best 11 results count.

And the green flag is out behind the grid...

Red lights are on...

And we are racing again!

Was it a British car?

Did it run slick tyres?

Very tight at the front. Keep the questions rolling, and diversify them. Ask about designers and stuff like that as well.

Joc? 2
Steve Levin 2
Gman333-x-Ferrari 2
gti138 2
Hazardous 2
Necx0 1
AnGuRuSO 1

So far we know that this car:

was British,
had a 12-cylinder engine,
carried tobacco advertising,
ran with slick tires,
ran with wings,
was not driven by a German,
and did not have any orange paint on the livery.

No orange ANYWHERE on the car, that seems highly unlikely. Highly unlikely INDEED.

Did the car have the word "elf" anywhere on it? Say for example, the car was sponsored by a company called "GANDELF" then this counts as having the word elf on it. OK!

Did the car run on Goodyear tyres?
