So I've been busy recently knocking out a few of these side view cars in Photoshop. I sorta have the idea that I wanna create some sort of picture with every McLaren from 1966-2011, although I'm also toying with the idea of doing a picture with all the world champion cars from each year. Anyway, thought I'd share what I've done so far, here's something to be going on with for now:

A Brawn I did:

And a Ferrari F2003 GA:

The 2011 McLaren I have to say I'm particularly pleased with (although a bit squished in that pic above). Could even put it on it's own picture.

No, you're probably right. The tyres could be better but I do them last (hate doing tyres, traditional art or CG) and by the time I've gotten around to them I've just about lost interest :p

:hmm:

What has been seen...

I dunno, it was only very quick today, by no means a finished piece. I was just experimenting/seeing what could be done with it.

It's Hakkinen!
Respect. (funnily I use his helmet in F1 2010 :p)
Those are awesome RB... although in your first post the McLaren 2011's wheels are sort of eggish, and in the 'poster' (the one sideways) they look a bit flat, like they need some sort of shadow/volume.

In any case severe thumbs up

Thanks mate. Yeh I squashed it down to fit on the page with the other cars and I know what you mean about the lack of volume. Hakkinen was always my favourite driver and MP4-13 my favourite car (good old days!) :p.

Working on a new project which is nearing completion :)

Good old days indeed with Mika and Schumi battling it out fair and square with similar cars... very good.
