Yes, the "site that shall not be named" is only a Forum now.

:(

They seem to imply that it's because the letters F and '1' somehow were a bad idea in their domainname.

Oh well ... hope they return soon.

How the hell am I going to watch motorsports now??? Aussie V8 series, DTM, BTCC, WTCC, and Rally. WTF??? Like seriously. I loose in the end. That is my life.

Formula One Administration Ltd. (FOA), so basically it got shut down because of the F1 torrents.
 
It got shut down because it had f1 in the web site name. They didn't like that. Enzo said that numerous times. Lots of sites were shutdown before f1rw because of the f1 name in the websites.
 
^ i dont think the name is the only reason. otherwise the site would have remained, and just have a different name.

Sorry but thats a load of BS, "F1" hasn't been copyrighted by the FIA nor the FOA. There are many websites out there that use "F1" in there name and none got shut down, why, because they don't have tv rips of copyrighted stuff (the broadcasts are copyrighted NOT the name F1). im really gonna miss the nice documentaries they had :cry:
i never downloaded complete races cos i have only 15k upload so would have been impossible to keep a good ratio, but documentaries, season review, a lot of small video clips from the early ages... :(

It was one of the best sites for motorsport. Everyone, who has account on that page don't worry. Some of videos are back. The users didn't give it up.

where? there is nothing there anymore...
 
it was the only website out there offering full races through bit torrent, which means you could download a 1 GIG Hi-Def full race coverage file in a few hours, and the files were usually put up shortly after the race was thanks to some great people in Europe. As for us Americans, we'll be stuck again with the most boring broadcast team on the face of the planet and have to suffer as they call the race from their garage in New Hampshire. Thanks Enzo while it was up. It was a great time while it lasted.
 
I never went there..but just for what all of you are saying it was really great :(
If it is back up again remember to share ;)
