Fallout 4

Well the controller will work on windows 10....which it seems MS is forcing on W7 and W8 users.

They are offering it as a free optional upgrade for W7 and W8 users... how is that "forcing"? And why would you decline?

It's worth the 150 considering that the Scuf ones are 200+

I did not know they existed. They vary from $110 to $160 here.

I like the idea of a customizable controller a lot, but I have a problem with the One controllers causing me problems. They just aren't comfortable to me and that Scuf controller just looks like a warmed over controller and that won't work. At least the Elite looks like they have made some changes to it, but at $150, I will have to try one out and see if I like it or not.

I am also the guy that preferred the original big controller on the first Xbox.

I like the One controller better than the PS4 one for one main reason: durability. The DS4 will shed its rubber so fast and I've yet to see a One controller take any kind of damage.

Because I think they will start making games exclusive to that specific OS. And I would decline if the OS is garbage, which Microsoft is fully capable of. My PC is useful for gaming but that's not what it's for. I have a huge suite of architectural software on here, and a lot of it is specific to W7.

My problem is 35+ years of arthritis and the awkward way that the shoulder buttons need to be pressed. But it is just not as comfortable to hold as the 360 controller.

It's tempting, but I can just as easily tape my ipod to my arm.

I just downloaded this game a month and only seriously got into it a week ago.

I like it. Not a favorite but, it's good.

How I missed this thread is ridiculous. I own all three versions of FO4 and by far the most playtime was done on the XBOX One version--and primarily because I pre-ordered it and picked it up on launch day. Love this game, but this new creation club paid mod/micro transactions thing Bethesda is now doing really pisses me off. I'm tempted to stop buying their products because of it.

As for FO4, what is everyone's favorite mod? Personally I find the most use out of the Advanced Turrets mod (and whatever it is called on the consoles).

+1

The PS4 controller is trash to me for anything other than jRPGs. For shooters and games like Elder Scrolls V Skyrim the XBOX One controller layout is far superior and feels more natural with the analog stick placement. I have arthritis myself and after half an hour the PS4 controller causes discomfort where as I can use the XBOX One controller for almost ~3 hours without much discomfort. That and being able to swap out AA batteries on the XBOX controller almost by itself puts that ahead of the PS4 controller with its putrid battery life. Hah, but I digress.

God mode console command is fantastic. :D

I'm not the best at being aware of my surroundings in games so, being surprised shot and killed is no longer a problem.

LOL. If you pump enough in to stealthy stats you won't need god mode. :D

Fallout 4

Oh no, I need it. It took me a full 10 seconds for me to find one of those guys with the deep voice in heavy armor. Meanwhile, he had a good visual of me...

Last week I almost uninstalled the game because I kept dying so quickly.

Sentry Bot?

No, super mutant.

*sigh*

This game has been out for what, two years? This mission won't finish because I gave the serum to this moron and he's stuck on the stair railing and won't move. Leaving the building and coming back in, doesn't help either.

Do they still have the terminal open with the ` on bethesda RPGs? Because if so you can make him spawn wherever you want.

I found it when my copy of FO3 glitched on the purifier and left an important character out of the endgame area.

Yeah, I've just not had good luck with trying to do specific things with character ID's. I'm either not typing the code in right or I've spelt something wrong. I ended up sitting somewhere out of sight from the guy and using the "wait" function. He spawned behind a locked door and was talking through the door. Mission continued though. :D

What's funny, is the mission stepped further last night but, the idiot of a character was now behind a door I could not open and was speaking through the wall. There's even a marker. :D

Later on, I found trees not rendering correctly. Only certain sections of the game had this issue, not all trees and shrubbery.
