NFSU was great fun, although it was almost unplayable without a joystick if I remember correctly... haven't played any games in a few years though

yeah EA doesn't make very good games but they do make popular games...

I don't really understand why there is so much EA hating going around the net right now.

EA is the largest and most successful game producer and distributor right now, so they're bound to have a few lame titles. Furthermore, the majority of the games released under the EA name are only distributed by EA... they buy up the distribution rights for a lot of games from smaller companies.

They did develop and distribute Need for Speed: Underground, but I really like that game. Did the game ever even attempt to claim that it had realistic handling or physics: no. It's a great completely unrealistic racing game - you can just load it up and screw around on a few tracks in a ridiculously riced out car. It's a lot like a game such as Mario Kart... both have ridiculous physics, ridiculous tracks and ridiculous cars but end up being ridiculously fun.

And for any of the remaining EA haters out there, check out any of the EA BIG titles. All are entirely developed and distributed by EA, and all of them are insanely great games. The SSX series alone is one of the most innovative and addicting group of games ever released!
