This isn't recent by any means for me, but about 3 years ago my dad's friend who owned a body shop got in a very interesting restoration project (he usually usually restored E type jags and similar cars, sometimes fixed accident damage for things like vipers and bentley continental GTs). this time it was a Ferrari 250TDF prototype, year unknown but i'm guessing 1968 or so. the owner bought the car in need of restoration for $1 million, and then spent some more tearing it apart completely and getting it like it looked almost 40 years before.
the interior was amazing, so old yet it looked better than a new car interior does today, incredible. sadly i never saw the painted final version, but keeting a peek at it was really cool when you can touch it and no be afraid.
i'm not sure how many of these were produced, but this was the only one of its kind in the world as a prototype, and you can see slight differences in the details. hope it's entertaining to some
