Is there any chance that they will get FXX on track. It is only for track so... Lets prey that one of them buy Nick Mason.

I doubt it. He hardly drives his Enzo (it had only 300 miles done when TG had it, and he must have had it for a year or so...)

Will Ferarri really give it out to people? I thought, you buy it, and then its shipped to where the testing is supposed to be staged, and you drive it. Stop.
HIGHLY DOUBT IT...

Its not a road car, so it won't go to the power laptime board anyway...

They only made or are making 28 FFXs and it took 2 years for Top Gear to get to drive the Enzo of which there was 400.

From what I read they're using the FFX to develop a roadgoing version with the help of the owners who have to join the ferrari team as test drivers, so if not the FFX they will probably try to test the roadgoing version if/when it comes out.

I guess its really up to the 28 people who paid 1.5 million ?s for it to let Jeremy Clarkson take it for a spin (possibly literally) around the track

I didn't knew that customers will help in developing.
Thats why i mentioned Nick Mason

Did you see a clip of FXX drive?
No but the specs are amazing, and there's going to be 'normal' people and Mr . Shumacher helping to develop all the handling and what not.

it would be badass to see a clip though if anybody has 1

did don't even give out an "ordinary" enzo to people. if you want a testdrive (journalists included) you could have a go on ferraris private track, but you weren't allowed to take it off

I think this FXX business is just a precursor to the next Ferrari supercar, whatever is made after the Enzo, the F70 or whatever they will call it. That will be the road going version of the research and stuff done with the FXX.

That's my understanding too.

I wonder if the research data they'll gain will go into the successor to the 575. The designs more than ten years old isnt it? (started with the 550 Maranello)

I think the 575 replacement is too far down the development road to use any meaningful data from the FXX program

Well its starting to show its age ever so slightly and the new entry level ferrari is comin up on it. its V8 puts out 490bhp and the 575's V12 does 512. Actually i think i read a magazine where they had a spy shot of a new Ferrari that was coming out

There's spy shots of the 575 successor doing the rounds - was the rumoured name 600 Imola or is my brain just making that up??

^ yea there you go, but the article said that they might change the name because they dont like having the name of the car being leaked out too early. Before the original Daytona was released the name was leaked and Enzo changed it to 275 gtb/4 and the 365 gtb/4 was officially called the Daytona
So i wouldnt be surprised if Imola was saved fer the successor to whatever they decide call the 600.

But it seems that these days Ferraris more concerned with marketing prancing horse cologne(of which i have the set and it smells fantastic, got me sum boob  ) than the magic and personal-ness Enzo had originally instilled in the company

I wonder how much power they're gunna ring out of that 6 litre v12

I see it's not just me that thinks Ferrari is over-merchandising and sticking their badge on every bit of tat that comes along - cheap, very very cheap.
