Looks like the two italian car makers are going to build and sale an SUV come 2010:

Fiat looks better, imo.

BUT neither are particularly tickling my fancy.

if they are going to come to america they will have to produce these to capture market shair

The usual there is no god crap.

Spot on. I don't like SUVs, but they sell over here. FIAT would be negligent not to produce these. Think of the Cayenne, it helped Porsche make a lot of great things.

like get over 10 billion ? debts while trying to overtake VW?

Well if you think about it, it does make sense for Fiat. They're a general producer of mid-range cars just like Ford is or Reanult is so it wouldn't actually be too far fetched for them.

As for Alfa Romeo, their history is backed up by slightly exotic sports cars and sports saloons so this probably isn't the right way to go for them since they're the only ones up keeping with their original image at the moments so yeah.

Those first renderings are terrible...The Fiat one is probably based on a Cayenne body, and the Alfa one has the exact same shape as a X6.

So, they are coming out with SUVs when people are trading them in for smaller things? GOOD PLAN THERE.

People are still buying small SUVs/crossovers/minivans/whatever they are called now. I doubt these Italians will be all that big.
