Firefly

I've been wanting one for years, and the farther we get from the show being aired the harder they are to find. I splurged in a big way to pre-order that bastard. The best part is that with my CFP I can carry my real vintage Smith & Wesson revolver come next Halloween / annual "Can't Stop The Serenity" screening.

If I wanted to go as Mal, then yeah, but there are other Browncoats in the show. Monty, for example, in the episode Trash.

You forget he DID shave off his soup catcher for YoSaffBridge. We never see him with it, only his handlebar.

One of my exes was pretty much like Saffron, down to body language and manipulation tactics. Luckily, she did the whole thing for fun/ego-boosting, not to steal my belongings and kill me in an electric net.

Did she also have Saffron's... earth for you to... plough through?

Let me put it this way: Yep, she was fully capable to switch from ultra-wicked "take me harder" to "you asshole, i got bruises, i'll tell everyone you raped me"-ueber-bitch and back within less than five seconds.

Not to mention turning a debate about her cheating on me into one about me being overly jealous...

...but she had a body like Christina Hendricks, too, so it was not all bad ;)

I've always wanted to watch FireFly, but because the show's cancelled I don't want to watch it for the exact reason everyone loves it. If I love it, I'll be so, SO disappointed teh show never went past the first season. I would die.

I think the quality of the first season makes up for the lack of a second season.

now that Fox has also canceled Dollhouse, Joss Whedon really needs to find a new network to put his shows on. first Firefly and now this. Fox must have something against Joss and his fans.

I think FOX has a problem with making money.

WTF? I somehow missed Dollhouse being cancelled. After the dismal ratings of the first season i figured the main reason for FOX renewing it was to prove a point after the Firefly debacle - seems like they decided to prove a totally different point less than two months into the season.

And I would think that they would have an approach like studios have to Kevin Smith - doesn't usually rate big on release, but strong enough, but the true profit are the ongoing sales that keep the $$ rolling in. Not to mention the merchandising/franchising $$ that come from shows of this type (I mean, how many people buy tons of merch related to How I Met Your Mother, or Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place compared to Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Serenity/Dollhouse etc.....)

I have 720p bluray rips on my ftp. I also have an 1080p bluray rip of the movie. GO GO GO!

You need an ftp client, there's one even as an addon for firefox, called fire-ftp, then find my thread in the ftp forum and put in the info.

This may be the only time you hear me say this: Please buy the show and movie instead of pirating it. It's the one show that I refuse to copy for anyone. I will hand out copies of the first disk, but that's it, the first hit is free but then you have to pay.

I really like the show; I think that for a show that leaped so far ahead of any other SciFi of the time they should be rewarded.

But that's just me.

The show is very cheap to buy, even on BluRay and I've seen the film on DVD for as little as $5.
