Saw this on another site...

We?ve seen plenty of smashed Ferrari Enzos but this is the first time we?ve across images of a wrecked Bugatti Veyron. Information is sketchy, but it?s thought that a pool of water on the road caused the AWD supercar to lose traction and then spin out of control, sending it head first into a ditch on a road near Shepperton in the UK. Most of the cabin section and engine compartment look relatively undamaged, however, it?s hard to determine what internal damage to the drivetrain there is if any. Hopefully the driver got out unscathed.

According to the source, this is the first time a private customer has actually crashed a Veyron. Engineers reportedly destroyed two prototype examples during testing, which was part of the reason for the long delays during the vehicle?s development.

That blows major ass...

Also the reason why I'm all for replacing the airbag with a huge spike... In theory if everyone knows they will die in a crash, they would drive safer.

if the guys not dead, he should be

crashin that car should be a crime, punishable by death

and ill take this oppertunity to second the idea that there should be an advanced driving test. 1000bhp is alot of power, to think you can handle that with your DVLA licence is a joke and a half.

Come on. It's a car. Shit happens.

Sounds pretty innocent on the drivers part, if he hit standing water and those wide tyres wouldn't be able to split the water quickly enough to stop from aquaplaning.

His insurance company will be feeling the sting.

Can it be insured? ;)

If it can be, chances are the insurance people are going to be cocks about paying out anyway. Anyone who's had an accident probably knows how most insurance company's don't wan't to pay anyone.

i dont like the veyron in red, for some reason it just looks wrong

It looks better without those stupid early-2000's VW headlights.

'No, its not a Rover, its a Bugatti...'

Heh, well that's why you need to insure a car like that through industrial/commercial insurers as you would a private plane or boat, not through some "quote you happy" bunch.

damn that major sucks ass

He spun out on a wet road, it's not like he was going triple the speed limit and hit a tree or something.

I'd also blame it on the wide-ass(tm) tyres. Anyway it looks largely repairable, I hope it makes it through.

Hahahahahahaha!! =D
True dat!

Veyron is all carbon fiber. It seems to be in pretty bad shape.... so I think he was speeding. Tho if I had one I would speed too. :) I am not sure I would do it on wet roads however.

Next series of Top Gear we find out Hammond did it.

So, who remembers that formula used to calculate the speed at which a vehicle will hydroplane using the wide of the tires, etc.?

Now watch as we start seeing a long line of crashed Veyron's. All limited production supercars will eventually meet the same fate as the Ferrari Enzo:

Stoooooopid drivers.
