Food! [The thread that started this section]

I'm a fan of the combination of chocolate and cola. Might give them a shot if I spot them at Target when I'm there later today.

They aren't available until the ninth.

That might explain why I didn't find any.

The snack search wasn't a total waste, as I did find this...

After a mentally strenuous week, I went to the local Extrablatt and had this nice Schnitzel with Broccoli, Tomato, and Hollandaise sauce on it. The fries are usual german restaurant type which are fine but they could be better. The mayo is perfect viscosity though. Was a satisfying meal.

It really irks me that it is the standard for restaurants to just serve the absolute bottom barrel frozen fries as a side dish.
I agree, especially with where I live, Belgium and Netherlands is _right_ there. You could easily get better ones!

The amount of times I've had fries that were actually made in-house in a Dutch restaurant can be counted on the fingers of one hand. It's such a contrast usually, the meat has had a lot of attention put into it, if the restaurant is good, the vegetable sides are also good with attention gone into it, and then just something they pulled form the deep freezer and ducmped into hot oil for the manfacturer recommended time, with some salt added if you're lucky... I generally get better stuff at the snackbar counter for a lot less money.

Rectified.
