First, I have to say that I like the looks of Ford Fiesta ST, exspecially with little bigger rims than the original 16" or 17". As a ride Fiesta ST was ok, for that price good I must admit. But something was missing. After a few words with my friends I know what was it: supercharger. More power, more fun, less seconds. All that would make Fiesta ST more alive. Of cource you need everything from bodywork to supercharger, but maybe it just would be worth of that.

Current Fiesta ST can do 0-100 km/h in about 8 second and moves quite nice in higher speeds too. We where running it againts Mini Cooper S (ok, more expensive), which can do 0-100 km/h in 7,2 seconds and which is too fast in higher speeds. I was just imaging behind the wheel of Fiesta ST, that I would just have all that power that the supercharged 2.0 liter Ford engine could offer, all that power that I would need to take over the Cooper S.

Technichly the 2.0 liter engine would fell more friendly as turbocharged, am I right with this? It is just the whining sound of the supercharger I love :).

but you also have to consider that the fiesta is FWD... if you increase too much power on it, it'll just understeer...

^ then you'll also need some suspension changes as well to counteract that understeer. If you've got the money for a cooper S, buy the cooper S. the Fiesta is cheap, and it should stay that way.

Fiestas are great, beautiful and not cheap ...

Mine is wonderful, it is a GHIA model of 2001... I like it so much...
1.8 TDDCI 75 horsepower... I realize that's not a ST, but I can't drive at full speed on french's roads so isn't important...

I'm projectin' to buy a new one, the 2006's fiesta... with mp3 slot, brand new headlights etc....

I can't wait anymore

Fiesta ST is nice package as it is. and imo, it's better without forced induction. proper NA-tuning would provide far better throttle response than any forced induction could, and power would come out smoothly instead of big bursts that cause wheelspin.

Humiliate them all and buy a Starlet Glanza (1.3 Turbo, 138bhp, 0 to 60MPH in 6.8seconds and they can be raised to 190bhp quite easily) or a Peugeot 106 GTi ...

Not a fan of the Starlet but will amit it's a very nippy car only due to it's excellent power to weight ratio.
But the Fiesta ST would win against the 106 GTI but only by a little.

na tuning takes a lot of time and money to get significant results when supercharged makes a good torque curve and ha great throttle response already. but your going to need some suspension work to get the power on the road exiting corner. a lsd and coilovers are a must with big power. brakes and more rubber on the ground would also be a good upgrade.

Don't listen to the nah sayers, you can supercharge it. My car puts 275 lb-ft to the road via FWD with a relatively soft suspension and an open diff. The key to an powerful FWD is patience with the throttle, pick it up too soon and you'll look like a fool.

There is a slight issue with the front tires

Frequent rotation is a must.
