Indeed, they're crawling over North America from my experiences, however we still haven't seen it in Europe. I did see a test mule about four months ago, but that's it... By the time it reaches the UK, NA will getting the first facelift.
They also hold their value tremendously, at least so far. I was browsing used car ads, and Taurus SELs and Limiteds of similar mileage are going for thousands less than Fusion SEs, which are only a couple thousand off the prices of new Fusions.
Frameless windows make me cringe when I think about using them in our climate. Especially those BMWs where the glass drops 1cm when you pull the door handle. I can't imagine any of that working very well on a morning when the door is so frozen you're afraid to break the door handle when trying to get in to the car.
I know Finland gets colder, but Subarus with frameless windows are successfully opened on a regular basis in sub-zero weather. Just ask anyone who lives in the cold bits of Vermont.
