This topic http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=5046 kinda made me think about this.

First some history, I found this site via google at the end of 2003. And stumbled upon this site, which at that point had to no episodes at all to download from the list of episodes because of problems. But I decided to keep checking on this site. Anyway going of topic.

I joined the forums in March 2004. But compared to other members who joined the forums later I've prolly far far far less posts than them.

I was just wondering if you could recognize me from my avatar or my sig. Considering my pretty little post count. Heheee, I'll judge you too.

In simple answer to your question: No, not yet... But how long have you had this avatar/sig combo?

True, but gosh there are some members with double your posts and I don't know shit about them or their personality because they have just stormed into a "posting frenzy" on these forums at some point and havnt really given other members time to know them...Like Logo said, you probly have a better social life then so be happy :p
 
Nah, I just read a lot. I've only met 2 members in real life, andy and freakster. BTW andy, is it me or does freakster have an aussie accent?
 
I haven't been here that long, but I think it's easier to remember someone if there's a picture to connect it to, and I recognize you from your avatar.

I even remember how you look like (I've read the "Post a pic of yourself" -thread carefully). :)

And if members have similar avatars I get mixed up a bit, like jensked and jeffy7777, I get them mixed up sometimes, and the only actual name that's easy to recognize w/o an avatar would be SL65AMG~V12~604BHP!!!!!!!. For obvious reasons :)
 
i remember jensked from your avatar. what kind of music does your band play? rock and blues? I'm guessing you use a fender ;)

Lederlieber, you actually saw that pic? hehe, but sorry I don't recognize you. maybe you're more a lurker like me considering your 400 post count.
 
I recognize many posters, but mostly by avatar or sig.

I have an "image" of a personality of top 30-50 posters maybe, that is associated to username and their previous posts (like what cars they have/like, political views, that kind of stuff), not avatar.
These people are mostly:
people I play LFS with, people who has "Finland" written for location draw my attention, also people who are in chatroom and people that I had somekind of interesting discussion with.

I'm not sure... freakster changes accent 24/7 :lol:... I have no idea what accent he has, it sounds like its all mixed up
 
Well, I do play rock/blues and (how did you guess it?) I play a Fender 50th anniversary Strat. I'm going to keep my avatar because I think it's better for people recognizing me and after all it is a car forum

I like the avatar-thing very much. Most of the time, you recognize people with the avatar.
