All my other cars are boring, but my Fiat 126p might be in for last place!
18kw/45Nm - 652cm? - 600kg - I2 engine
We did something similar a few years back, right? Fun to have an updated version.
2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10: 8.4L V10 (biggest engine? ) making 600hp (450 kW) and 560 lb?ft (760 N?m) with a weight of 3,460 lb (1,570 kg). Naturally aspirated of course, else it'd be 800+ hp.
Assuming my math is right, that works out to 53.57 kW/L and 286.62 kW/t.
I'm getting my ass handed to me in the kW/L category but I think I have the kW/t category locked down for cars.
Truth. My engine's supercharger is bypassed almost all the time, but the SAE-certified horsepower rating obviously can only be produced when the charger is at full chat. And then, since it is a Positive-Displacement Supercharger, when it is actually producing the 556bhp / 415kW it definitely is NOT a 6.2L engine... it is instead 6.2L + 1.9L = 8.1L. And it drinks fuel like it tooHorsepower per liter means Fuck All.
It's neat to look at for apples/apples comparisons between modified vehicles. Beyond that, meh.How much power an engine puts out per litre, is a mark of how much the engineers were willing to fiddle with the design and use higher performance parts; nothing else. Power to weight is far more important, in terms of performance.

1988 Mustang GT - Engine: NA Pushrod 90* V-8, Displacement: 4.94 Liters - Power: 175.2 kW, Torque: 406.7 N-m Curb Weight: 1500 kg
1986 Mustang SVO - Engine: Turbo I-4 SOHC, Displacement: 2.3 Liters - Power: 149 kW, Torque: 330 N-m, Curb Weight: 1383 kg
2007 Suzuki GS500F: 0 kW, 0 N-m, 150 kg (blown motor)
Can we also please have the displacements of the engines, and if possible what engine configuration they are?
Whoa...we have a new king!
I'll let Nicjasno have the honours as it's too time consuming to enter on the phone.
Do post the torkwe figure as well, please.
