Forza Motorsport 3

I don't know if anyone has mentioned having this problem, but I'm having issues with Twin Ring Motegi. I've driven the oval, and it's fine; I've driven the West short circuit (the one that's just two straights with right turns at the ends) and its fine; but when I drive the full circuit, it doesn't load the back stretch (the starting grid area for the East short course), the game gets laggy after trying to drive through, and when I do anything other than just race (like finishing the race) I get a 'disc unreadable error'. Anyone know what the issue may be?

Edit: Problem exists on both East short course and the Full course; same area, though just running the short course it seems to only be the first right hander that doesn't load...

Sorry, not any help, just thought I'd say I haven't encountered anything like that with any tracks.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Well, something I did worked. I:

1) Deleted/Reinstalled Asia Car Pack (disc 2 content)
2) Deleted/Reinstalled Road Course Pack (disc 2 content)
3) Cleaned the Disc (even though it was pretty clean looking to begin with)

Now it works.

OMG GT-R!!!!1!!!11

Can I just say it's bullshit they make us pay for DLC? If we want 10 more cars that probably should have made it into the game when it came out, we have to pay an extra $10? It's not enough that you have to have a gold account to do anything online. Fucking money-grubbing Microsoft.

I tired to explain this on the Forza boards a while back. No one seemed to get it.

Using incredibly simple, flawed and otherwise un-noteworthy math, save for my own agenda, a car in Forza 3 costs about 15 cents ignoring things like tracks and game modes.

The DLC pack is rumored to cost 400 points, which is near as makes no difference 5 bucks. So it's about 50 cents per car.

50 cents times the number of cars in Forza 3 is 211 dollars. Would you pay 211 dollars for 422 cars, indeed even 422 cars including Forza 3 to play them on? Hell no, I wouldn't.

In addition, for the DLC to match the prices established in Forza 3, not just in cars, but tracks as well, each DLC pack must contain 33 cars and one environment including 4 different configurations for 5 dollars.

5 bucks for 10 cars is a frakking rip off. It's just that the amount is so small that it doesn't register until you actually break it down. Now, I'm not saying the content of the DLC should match the prices laid down in Forza 3 - you buy in bulk, you save. But charging nearly three and a half times as much for add-on content is absurd.

Then again, I'm sitting here rattling on about stupid numbers and cents on the dollar, when my entire argument is rendered moot by "it's worth what someone will pay for it". Unfortunately for us cheapskates, lots of people will pay for it.

I really miss the days of free DLC, before Micro$soft took over the biz. Anyone remember when Counter-Strike was a free MOD? Those were the days.

is it just me? or is it when i put front and rear bars on my cars, they get more understeery. kept settings at default.

what i do now is that i purchase depending on the drivetrain layout. FWD - rear bars, RWD - front bars, AWD - ???

The problem is that you need to have those bars to help balance the car. The default ARB settings tend to be far too stiff, so knock them down quite a bit off the bat and work from there.

You can't even get 10 matchbox cars for $5, not too bad if you ask me especially when you consider that most of the $.50 per car is going straight to licensing I'm sure. Wish they had more old cars, but I'm sure we'll get that pack down the road, and +1 for that 928.

Yeah, 5 bucks is a bit much. But i'll buy it, and you'll buy it and you'll buy it too and that guy over there will buy it also.

the guy over here is buying as well, being me. I'd say that most of the cost is the Ferrari 458 Italia, which is quite exclusive at this point..

That's right, I'm bored.

Hard-mounted the PWTS I got during lunch break... Gotta figure something out for the pedals, though. They come with a Plate, but the plate can't be mounted to my stand.
There is velcro on the back of them, but there is no additional velcro in the box for mounting. And the screws that go in the bottom are too short to put them through my pedal stand... hmm.. Suggestions?

Practical experiment: take an FXX, load up the Old Mulsanne circuit, and blast down it. At 192 MPH, shift from 5th to 6th.

If you stay above 185 MPH while in 6th gear after a few seconds I'll eat my paddle shifters.

There is no point to having 6th gear in the FXX.

A few cars with paddle shifters now have have paddle animations after add-on though its not quite right when the paddles do not move with the steering wheel :p

I actually was a bit disappointed with the Italia, it has too much grip even though I turned all the helps off...
Also: The S4 is way overpowered and grips like a maniac. Audi must pay them good. I did a Lap on the Nordschleife and took almost all corners with red braking indicators...
