Grats! Love it!

May I enquire as to what the black tape is on the headlights?
Toyotas are not usually praised for great styling, but I like how this Lexus shares its styling cues with most other Toyotas of its age. I think the back and front styling has many similarities with Corolla and Carina at least.
Looks like it handled the snow and ice well.![]()
Can you guys do a formal (i.e. article-length) comparison review with this and the Daimler? You've sprinkled comparisons throughout the two threads but it'd be great as an intro for people who haven't been following the awesome sagas of these two cars.
I'm sure the other two owners of the Daimler have been itching to do exactly thatObviously, I'm onboard.
Kinda OT, but I think he lurks here since I posted that Lexus here when it was on Craigslist.
Haha, no. The studless tyres (as it has to drive from UK) don't work very well on ice, especially having to hold 2 tons of mass. The rubber is also rather hard for a winter tyre, perhaps it's a different compound than what we have here in the north, or maybe it's just age. It was only really enjoyable when the track was roughened up by spiked-tyred rally cars and bikes, but the Sunday track was so polished, that it was rather frustrating.
Yes, definitely! We have to plan this very well. A thorough test of ?1000 luxury barges!
Something German or French, I'd venture. Maybe one of those W126s?Do we need a third one? What would it be?
