Subaru unveiled its 2006 Impreza World Rally Championships contender in Frankfurt, which will make its debut at January's Monte Carlo rally. It's fresh from testing in Sardinia, and besides being based on the recently-restyled production Impreza with revised front-end styling and new bodyshell, it has to meet the 2006 WRC regulations banning electronic differentials and water-injection systems. Driver Petter Solberg is said to be very positive about the car, having had disappointing results in the 2004 and 2005 seasons; he is reported to have said that the new car suits his driving style better, and to be confident of recapturing the form that took him to success in the 2003 championships.

Where do I sign up for one? Oh, there's that small matter of driving talent I seem to be lacking :(
