“Freddie was injured in an accident at the Top Gear test track this morning, with crew medics attending the scene immediately. He has been taken to hospital for further treatment and we will confirm more details in due course.”

And according to the Daily Fail he may never return again

Such a pussy if true Hammond would dust himself off and crash again.

Tabloids just copied the Times, more speculation, short on facts.

BBC Studios Top Gear statement

BBC Studios has concluded its investigation into the accident at the Top Gear Test Track in Surrey last December, which regrettably injured presenter Freddie Flintoff. We have sincerely apologised to Freddie and will continue to support him with his recovery. Under the circumstances, we feel it would be inappropriate to resume making series 34 of Top Gear at this time. We understand this will be disappointing for fans, but it is the right thing to do, and we’ll make a judgement about how best to continue later this year. This has also impacted the production team, who we continue to support. Finally, there will be a health and safety review of the show, in line with our procedures.

Top Gear filming halted after Freddie Flintoff accident

The BBC says it has halted the latest series of Top Gear after presenter Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff was hurt in an accident while filming.

The BBC said: "Under the circumstances, we feel it would be inappropriate to resume making series 34."

There were other reports recently that said it was a Morgan Super 3 he rolled.

Freddie also has a back log of other shows to do, that are delayed by his recovery. TG probably has to wait it's turn.

Don’t know I would have said it like that…. Personally I’m tired of things that really have no major benefit of being politicized being that. And just having a show you can switch your brain off from reality in terms of „everything’s fucked and we must do all we can to save the earth!“ is exhausting.
