In collaboration with the Electronic Sports World Cup, Nadeo has released Trackmania Nations ESWC (~ 265MB), a free game which is entirely devoted to the LAN and Online multiplayer competition.

This complete version of Trackmania Nations ESWC includes a unique gameplay and new "Stadium" environment, as well as solo and multiplayer modes featuring 100 training and competition circuits (soon to be a thousand and more) for Internet, LAN, HotSeat, not forgetting Nadio's famous community editors, Nadio circuit editor, Painter and Mediatracker. Players will be able to download games and link up with other players around the world on the TrackMania servers. Trackmania Nations ESWC features in the Electronic Sports World Cup selection and qualifications will be taking place in 53 countries.

LFS is good, but "owns everything else" is taking it a bit far. For instacne, Richard Burns Rally owns the Rally mode on LFS :D
 
LFS ownes most of the games around... I can't believe some big names are letting 3 guys get away with half of the money on the hardcore SIM market... Simbm is geat as well...

I hate stupid railing games like TM or NFS, but still I enjoy them...

Due to the large succes of TM Nations, the Nadeo Master server is getting abit overwhelmed.

Untill its fixed you may get an 'Invalid Key' error when connecting and/or various "cannot search" errors while browsing for a server to play on. All we can advise is to wait a while and try again later.

On the plus side, maybe use that new found free time to award some of those cool tracks you downloaded off TMX.

i can get in after i try a few times, they've also removed all the ladders because of how popular its gotten.

The free Trackmania Nations contains Starforce.
It has been reported by many users that the slowdown caused by StarForce on some recent multiformat DVD writers can cause irreversible hardware failures on those drives (they aren't recognized anymore), as they aren't supposed to write at slow speeds.

Moreover, the Starforce drivers, installed on your system, grant ring 0 (system level) privileges to any code under the ring 3 (user level) privileges. Thus, any virus or trojan can get OS privileges and totally control your system.

Demos also do...

A developer on another Forum told me, that most .exe's in Demos are pretty similar to the real ones in the full product, which would mean, that somebody could find a way to run the game with the Demo's .exe ...

I guess this is the reason for this...
 
If anyone wants to play, jump on The Great Milenko server in the US. It's a good, fast server.

As of when I quit tonight, I was ranked 81st in the US.

Yes, it is the title of an ICP album... My bro used to listen to them, took up the nick "milenko" and has used it since, though he doesn't listen to them anymore. He's running the server :)

The networks have been down just about all day today, so no trackmania for me :(
