Saw this on Ebay just now. Thought some of you guys might be interested (and otherwise I might get them myself). It's TG series 1 to 6 on DVD :woot: (hope this works and doesn't corrupt the link >_< ):

That would be nice to have but I wonder is this auction is going to last seeing how that is the unauthorized sell of copyrighted material.
 
Why pay money for something you can get for free ? I believe someone even posted DVD menues for the episodes on the board a while ago. It's all there if you look for it.

Well, if they're the episodes as they originally aired and in good quality, then this would be interesting.
AFAIK the first three series right now are only available in either bad quality or in non-original form (like the BBC Prime ones that have news segments cut and don't have original music).

Could be eps that were recorded for private use and never made it to the net. Who knows ?

Although I think that someone took the eps already available and recorded them onto DVD.
 
Exactly, it doesn't say, however based on how he worded the description, I would suspect this is a privately recorded collection.
I'm going to ask the seller if they're personally recorded and if they're the original episodes (not that he couldn't lie).
 
eh not really worth it. I would probably buy em all when the show itself ceases to air ( i know it is a grim prospect, but its bound to happen sooner or later)

VEERY tempting, I would definitely pay that amount if they are the originals and not the BBC Prime versions! ESPNSTI let us know what he/she/it replies.

I'm just curious as to what you actually get. Are they actually good quality or are they just the dodgy first couple of seasons put onto DVD?

Please let us know what they are like mmap.

:D Yeah, I can just imagine seeding 12 DVD's with my 512kbs upload speed... I'd be collecting my pension before the first one would be finished.
 
I bought series 5 on DVD from another seller on eBay, and the quality is excellent. At least one of the shows was ripped from *ahem* a certain interweb site that we all know and love *ahem* (mods feel free to edit for safety). The only hic with the one I bought is that episode 2 on it is actually from series 6 and not series 5, but since that's one of my all time faves I'm not complaining.

What a rip-off. Especially if the set includes those truly craptacular Jabba WMV rips. :yucky:

Like seriously, if they were all original and stuff, but these guys aren't even recording everything for themselves, as they said, some are taken off of websites ... seriously, all I need is series 1 episodes 3&4 in good quality and I can do probably even a better package than that guy ... probably all the bad-jabba ones are from bbc prime, wouldn't surprise me one bit.
