Game of Thrones

Games of Thrones season two consisted of 10 fifty-minute episodes.....

....HOW CAN IT REQUIRE 6 FUCKING BLU-RAY DISCS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Lots and lots of extras? I don't know that is a little obscene.

Oh poor dumb Rob Stark

I was a bit underwhelmed by S03E01 last night. Maybe it's just setting everything in place for the rest of the season, but I was expecting a bit more.

Agreed on all accounts.

Can't wait for next week.

Yeah, it was a little devoid of action.

I was disappointed that they didn't follow the book by having Ser Barristan Selmy remain incognito until much later.

BTW, was that a different actor playing Ser Barristan?

S03E02 was better, still does not feel fully up to speed.

In related news, my girlfriend gave me this unexpected gift for my birthday yesterday:

I get the same feeling, but the fact is that there is so many storylines and characters that it took two 50-minute episodes just to catch up with everyone. Hopefully we'll get a little more action next week.

Much better this week. Having read the books, I can tell you you'll appreciate all the exposition so far to make more sense of what's to come. ;)

RdKetchup, DO NOT read them fast, take your time reading them if you haven't read them yet. It sucks waiting for the next book.

I don't mind that they are starting slowly, it makes the changes from the book to the show easier to figure out.

The last scene with Dany in the episode was fking awesome.

Yes, it was quite obvious that it was going to happen but it was very awesome.
