Yesterday, i was thinkin that TG a little backed down on entertainment & did a little bit more really car - related stuff like reviews, comparison tests & so on, but after reading this thread - they haven't.
CarBoat - sailing, Veyron - Jetfighter race, 24h endurance race, CamperVan race, Clarkson "on the news", supercar tests in Europe & Isle of man, the actual Bio-Diesel making (i think they will show that prior to endurance race) so where is all the review stuff?
I assume, to make all those entertainment segments really work, they need like 30-40mins to spare for every single one of em, so, unless it will be a VERY VERY long series (i doubt it).
Here's my "TV" thinking.
Episode 1 - La - Manche sailing, 2 segments, with news & SRPC between + 1 single car review.
Episode 2 - Diesel making, News, SRPC, 35min Endurance race.
Episode 3 - Clarkson on the news, = 25-30 mins, news, SRPC, 1 double review.
Episode 4 - Europe supercars test, cool wall & stuff, maybe 1 review.
Episode 5 - IoM supercar test - 30 mins, studio stuff, maybe 1 more review.
Episode 6 - Jet - Veyron race, studio stuff, camper van racing.
Car reviews: Ferrari 599, SLR convertible, 2 "middle class" reviews.
Nothing more to SHOW. Fan's wudn't miss anything Major, so that's pretty much it. Optimisticly, we'll get 4 reviews, which is the same as Every single Fifth Gear episode. i think we got Season 9#2, which is a lil bit sad really.
I think there will be more than 6 episodes, didn't Season 9 only have that many because of Richards crash? Also, I think things like the Veyron Race, camper van racing and the news crashing thing will only be short 15 minutes sections.
The trailers just been shown... you'll probably know this already.
I'm half asleep so bare with my crapness.
Aston N24 vs? and ?
R8 vs 911
James in water, Jezza in speedboat trying to help him.
3 absolute knackered classic cars, possibly a Dolomite and Jag.
The Peel almost rolls over at really slow speed.
We have a TV stand thing that has all the wires built in (a bit like this, only not as nice) so getting it out and all the wires would take ages. And I can use the TV as my monitor, so only need to take the main unit + keyboard and mouse.
