So my relative is going to berlin to study (dunno what) and she needs a new laptop.

So...
1. ... are Laptops in Germany cheaper than in Finland?
2. if there is 1 laptop to buy then will its warranty work in Finland also?
3. she doesn't play games. so no ultimate gaming laptop.

Please answer.

a locomotive and a renault megane coupe
students can get around 50 quid off certain models at www.notebooksbilliger.de.
don't know about anything about warranty though, may depend on manufacturer or EU law. ;)

haven't thought about apple, but internet-store has the same price in finland also :p .

But then warranty will work in finland.

edit. 1. without a VAT it is 9eur cheaper in Germany :)

Ye, but not as cheap as it seems. Try www.one.de -she can buy a laptop f?r 399.- there which has enough power for Internet + Office.

I myself have a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo L7310 for outdoor activities. It's got a CeleronM with 1,5Ghz, 512MB Ram, a S3 Unichrome Videocard and I have changed the HDD from 60GB/4200 rpm to a 80GB/5400 rpm. I can watch Clips until 720p without problems and even NFS is still running (ok, only up to medium resolution).

The recommended laptop at one.de almost has the same features and a better CPU.
