One interesting 'factoid', tax has gone up on fuel so much that people are actually cutting out leisure driving - thus the "green" reason for the higher than inflation tax rises has been met - w00t, gins all around, small problem the Government has a Huuuuugggggeeee deficit to get down, and fuel tax receipts are actually declining - that was not in the script.
