As impressive as the acceleration is I think the fact that it can out brake any Ferrari from that era with it's rear drum brakes shows just how much Ferrari was using it's name more than building a good product.

I still want to build one of this using an blazer with the transfer case from a van and a t56 from the vette fitted to the latest of I6 vortec/atlas engines.

i fucking love these trucks.... absolutly one of my favorites. Sadly in all my searching i have not even a slight hint of any kind of manual conversion

The v6 is a cut down 350 chevy using a standard chevy bolt pattern. If you can't find a way too convert it to a stick you've got issues :p

Interesting note of the Syclone (a.k.a the Chevy s10 pick-up version) has a significantly reduced weight capacity... 500lbs, all due to the suspension being built to handle and launch better. I love the fact that they said "we want to build a sport(y) car out of a truck."

I recall the Syclone and Typhoon could both beat a Ferrari, at least for the first quarter mile.

That just goes to show you how crap, relatively, the Ferrari 348 was.
