Dearest's sister's other half has decided he wants a Go Pro so he can film stuff while skiing. Quite why is beyond me since he goes for a week a year and his only other normal leisure activities are caravanning and golf! Plus he has injured his back so he might not even be able to join us in the Tyrol in February!

However that's not my problem but she wants to buy him one for Christmas anyway.

Aside from the Go Pro itself what else will she need to buy and how best to attach it since he doesn't normally wear a helmet while skiing?

Does that come with reins at the back to stop him falling over?

GoPro actually has a "GoPro Ski Bundle" that includes the camera and optionally most all of the stuff a skiier would want to film himself plowing into a snowdrift, running people over or breaking a limb. Unfortunately, their site is done in Flash so you can't do a direct link to the GoPro page for it. Go here and click the 'ski' button to see it: http://gopro.com/activity-shop

Here is a UK outfit selling the Ski package: http://www.prohelmetcameras.co.uk/g...d_hero_3_camera_black_edition_ski_package_kit

Does one really need a good reason to buy a Go Pro? I know I can't think of one and I'm constantly on the verge of getting the Black edition.

Go for the black edition its a fantastic bit of kit, helped out my rowing team filming training videos and stuff :)
