I just came back from watching it in the theaters.

I thought it defintely did not meet my expectations.

(Note, if you will give any spoilers, please make it so background is white w/ white text and a warning)

::::::::::::: SPOILER:::::::::::::::::::::::::
I thought dumbledore's acting was not what i imagine from teh book. TO me, the book portrayed him as a very humble, wise, and omniscient man who is always calm and in control. In this movie, he was so irratic.

Secondly, i thought this movie definitely skipped out on a lot of good stuff i wanted to see, like dooby and winky, the actual world cup, and they should've included how moody was introduced like in the book. because that allows us to believe that was the opportunity for teh switch.

Fleur wasn't all that. they should've found a hotter actress.

What's up with the relationship between Hermione and Krum. "We dont talk much, it's just physical." Ahhhhh wtf, she's such a tramp.

:::::::::::::::::End Spoiler:::::::::::::::::

I'm going to watch it tomorrow, but my expectations are low, I think the movies have gotten worse and too much has been left out from the books and replaced with fancy fighting or effects.

i've always liked the books better than the movies. Hermione is actually decent lookig now

lol hermione!!!!! she's definitely good looking in teh Yule Ball scene but other than that, she looks wierd.

Just saw it last night. Definitely not a kid's movie. There's a ton of stuff that will scar little Johnny; as somebody who hasn't seen any other Potter movies, it kind of surprised me. It cut out a lot from the book, but the book was encyclopedia-thick so that didn't surprise me.

You definitely need to read the book first before seeing the movie to understand it; they didn't do much/any character introductions. Of course, that's the norm to read the book first, but there are still some who don't want to go through the hassle of text and such.

Draco didn't have any part at all! So he had a one-liner and got turned into a ferret. Big whoop. He's losing his touch, isn't he?

That Yule Ball punk rock scene scared the shit out of me. :eek:

The movie was horribly directed. Cut and paste scenes and it just didn't flow.

hehe. Snape was hilarious in thsi movie. Utterly ridiculous at the scene at the class( or was it study hall).

Forgot to post here, but better late than never :)
I think the movie was good as a movie.
But I think it sucked in relation to the book, sooooo much was left out and changed :no:

lilleput, hope you've read the books then since you are missing out if you dont even watch th emovies.

Film was okay for what it was. I waited a week to go see it since I couldn't be bothered to sit in a theater with a bunch of children, mostly because I was ill.

It was choppy, and it'll be interesting how they do the next few films as they've kind of blundered it.

Anyway, David Tennant was loads of fun as Barty Jr.
