www.goldmedaltour.ca

I'm going on July 17

should be fun

(yes, theres a viper srt-10 there  )

if only every other manufacturer did this

OMFG

*To help ensure the safety of all participants, selected vehicles will be driven by professional drivers only with Gold Medal Tour guests welcomed as passengers. Model availability may vary at some locations.

[Edit]The * is behind the SRT-4 and the Viper, so you don't get to drive those two.
I can understand the Viper maybe, but the SRT-4 :? , that can't be that difficult to drive.

oh, but u dont get to drive it
but u can ride in it :D

Rather drive it, but hey. :?

LOL...that SRT-4 is funny, its a Neon with a huge engine, yet its Dodge's fastest car next to the Viper  like c'mon... a Neon

I signed up for the Vancouver date. Even though the cars are just Chryslers it sounds very cool... a little bit too good to be true actually, but still very cool.

So what that it's a Neon? I have video of a tuned SRT-4 beating a Viper and SRT-4's are front wheel drive...

i do agree that it has tremendous power, but i don't really like what the car looks like :? if it didn't look like a Neon, i would buy it any day!!

True. Not really an exotic or powerful car, but maybe that's part of the appeal - a wolf in sheep's clothing.

german cars in sheep, i mean american clothing.

oh, and I will take pics of the viper for you guys

Chrysler... what do they have of interesting to drive?
Viper (Dodge is a Diamler-Chrysler company)
300C

The Chrysler brand is more the luxury vehicles, Dodge handles the rest. Take their minivan for example.

they don't let you drive the Viper...

300C? I like to drive boats on water, thank you.

lol
i'll get pics of my car up as soon as these fricken exams are over

I hate to bump such an old thread ( :p ), but the Gold Medal Tour is coming up really quick in Vancouver. My friends and I are getting really excited about going to this thing.

Anyways, how many people from the forum are going to the Vancouver event?
Anyone from elsewhere in Canada already go? If so, how was it?

Just a bit of an update: I went to the Gold Medal Tour even yesterday in Vancouver, and it was absolutely amazing! The whole thing sounded a bit too good to be true, but I got a chance to drive everything I wanted to, and as long as you didn't completely spin or go off the course (which one of my friends did and almost got kicked out for :p ), they let you do whatever you wanted in the cars. There wern't any salesmen, the lineups weren't that big at all, and they were actually encouraging people to really test out the performance of the cars! :D

They were Chryslers, so there wasn't anything amazing to drive, but being able to take a Crossfire full tilt around an autocross course was sooooooo much fun!

And the rides they were giving out in Vipers with professional race drivers........ ! I've never like domestics, and I've never liked Vipers, but I am now a convert. These drivers weren't pro drivers pussy-footing the cars, they were out there absolutely hammering the Vipers.

The 2004 is absolutely insane. The ammount of torque, the ammount of horsepower... it's unreal. I don't think I'll ever go that fast again in my life.

I really hope all the other car companies learn from Chrysler and put on similar events.
