The fuck? My parents had a 1990 Rover 214, a car that in the US would be considered a "compact car", fitted 2 kids with child seats and one without without just fine. Then again now-a-days people fit TVs in their cars for the kids. Back in my day (circa 2002!) you just had to read a book and run the risk of being violently sick... Kids these days...
Reminds me of a 'back in my day' story from my dad, when him, his brother and maybe others would cram in to the back of a Reliant Robin for a trip to Skegness. The Robin didn't have 1st gear either so hill starts involved lots of pushing. Before anyone asks why my grandad had a Robin, it was because he only had a motorbike licence at the time.
If you want scratchy-scratchy plastic then come and sit in the Kangoo - that has 'textured polymer finish'.
Classy.
I can't say the plastic in the Disco is very nice, it's just far enough away that you don't have to touch it very often.
