Rumour Mill: Good news, everyone! It's the new Dacia MPV - Project J92!

 Gotta love Dacia, seems most of the design ideas didn't make it to production, hell looks like no design at all went into that. :p

That spy shots look like Dacia's testing department is run by gypsies.

Overall I like the shape: It's generic sure, but attractive (really like the line sweeping through the door handles...) unlike some models (Rodius) and safe yet attractive styling sells in this segment. You can definetly see where they've tried to borrow rear end styling (potentially even some parts + plant tooling) from their earlier MPV effort, the Logan MCV:

I don't like the "herp derp" face though. The logo in a honeycomb grille should be plenty, get rid of the rest of the chromey bits surrounding it.

Overall, not a bad effort it appears. If it's priced well, has the features families want, and does good in EuroNCAP testing, I could see this being a big success in the low end MPV segment served by the Doblo, Kangoo, Tourneo Connnect, etc.

Speaking of that, how large is this thing anyway? Judging by the spy shots it looks to be almost 1st gen Sienna sized (a van that split the difference between the short and long wheelbase Chryslers at the time) so it could potentially go against larger competitors.

^Say what you want about Rick, but he sure is predictable :p

 predictable is my middle name...maybe add awkward as a hyphen.

why don't they just cheapen up the nissan quest or grand espace?

Quest/Elgrand might be simply too expensive even with cheapening, seeing as the base Quest is shockingly premium priced compared to other entries here. Ditto espace. Plus, isn't the espace ancient by now? The current car seems to have been around forever, i guess a positive is that the tooling's probably paid for by now.

This is the new car for Alain Prost and his son Nicolas Prost and Evens Stievenart for the Andros Trophy 2011/2012. It's also the first time an MPV is chosen for this kind of race. Also, the Lodgy is going to be Dacia's first MPV, coming on sale on 2012.

Now they just need to make a road version of that race car.

Very Roomster-like, I approve! Now they have to sell it here now that Skoda have stopped selling the Roomster!
