Good PC Steering Wheel?

Can anyone help me with some advice? I want to buy a steering wheel at around 50-80$ but I have no ideea where to look and which is the best...One of my friends said something about Thrustmaster 360 Modena, Microsoft Precision Wheel or Logitech Momo (but I heard that the Momo is more than 80$). I'm not interested in Force Feedback very much as long it's a good wheel. I would appreciate your help, guys.

If you are interested in Playstation and GT4 as well, I'd recommend going with the Logitech Driving Force Pro. It is a Playstation wheel, but it plugs in via a USB port, therefore, you can plug it into a PC. Windows XP simply recognises it as a Driving Force, and lets you go from there. You can manually set turning distance and force feedback modes and most PC games have enough set up options to make sure the steering wheel is set up brilliantly. NFSU2 was a good example. In 180 degree mode it was as good as any other PC wheel I've ever used. PC games will eventually come out with 900 degree support and when that happens, Logitech will just market another wheel that is exactly the same as the DFP with different plastic on it. You'll already be a step ahead.

I don't know how much it's worth in America as I'm from Aus, but it is one of the more expensive wheels on the market. If you can make the stretch though, your dollars will be well spent.

If not buy a Logitech Momo Racing wheel. Case closed.

All the American based LFS guys got it for 75$ or even cheaper. So you should find a sweet deal on it. Heck, I paid 115 ? and it was worth it.

edit: Almost forgot to post the thread where all of the options have been discussed. http://forum.finalgear.com/viewtopic.php?t=2590

Thanks a lot guys...It'll be between the Logitech Momo and the Driving Force. The Driving Force is better and it'll be good in the future too, but its more expensive (100$)... I cant decide if I want a wheel now (buy the Momo) or wait a little (untill I have the money) for something better( the Driving Force).

So far my DFP is working pefectly in every game. With DXTweak you can set it to whatever degrees you want. A 540? setting with exponential settings seem to be the best for me in LFS.
Note, that the DFP is way more accurate that the MOMO, but I dunno how much... I guess its like using mice with 800dpi and 1600 dpi...

Can't go wrong with those 2...

DFP if you want to use it on your PS2 or have a lotta money. Next best choice is the MOMO.

sorry if this is thread jacking, but any recommendations for an xbox steering wheel?

again, sorry if this is thread jacking

Afaik xbox wheels lack proper force feedback and only have rumble function like the pads... which is kinda disappointing. Unless someone of course proves me wrong...

Well, I guess, there is only 1 thing: Buy the one thats recommended for Forza Motorsport... Dunno its name, though. From what I heard, its the first one on the Xbox thats actually any good...
If you're a cheap one, buy some shit at Ebay. There are tons of wheels that will do on PS2 and XBOX and PC...
Or check, if there is a way to make the Driving Force Pro work on the Xbox... Some adapter or something...

There are adapters for ps2 -> xbox, but the dfp has usb, and I don't know about that... Maybe there is a hack for the xbos to make it work...
