Goodbye 6 cyliders; hello 4!

Good luck with finding a Miata, enjoy your appliance in the meantime :)

Have fun with all your planned mods, should make a great result. Be sure to stock up on corrugated cardboard for the bodykit, and don't forget to add copious amounts of garishly coloured plush to the top of the dashboard. Looking forward to the endresult :p

... Why don't you rice it out? Just for fun?

Because a) it will cost more than $0.00 and b) it will absolutely destroy the resale value of the car. Plus I don't want to be laughed at anywhere I go... although I should get used to that since I want a Miata...

Everytime I see a Miata I'm like "oooh Miata" not sure why but they are quirky little buggers and that makes me like them.

uhh... no. USDM Accords did not come with an H22. Its either swapped, imported from Japan, or you are mistaken.
Ah, after looking over the owners manual at work (Yes, it was REALLY BUSY at work >.>), it would seem that you are right. Still a 2.2, but rated at 145hp from the factory...

Cant edit my first post for some reason :(

A few developments in the car's life: replaced the engine a year ago - ~210k on the old one, ~106k on the new one.

Yesterday I got a new cat-back exhaust. I think it sounds awesome; BlaRo saw it in person and can vouch for that, as can the guy in a cammed Camaro that I scared into submission at a red light. This is what it sounded like last night / this morning:

Bad launch - too much sand on the ground :( Once VTEC kicked in though, it was really flying:

This morning, when I filmed the videos above, I decided that its not quite as loud as I'd like it to be, so I cut out the resonator and this was the result:

Sounds awesome but its a bit too loud now I think - the rear-view mirror shakes so much that I can barely tell what's behind me. I think I'll weld the resonator back in tomorrow or Monday.

This is what really happened:

At an even 70mph the sound was at a deafening 95db and the car vibrated rather violently at around 3000rpm. Thankfully I just got it fixed.

All those hours sliding around parking lots using the ebrake finally paid off. Avoided a head-on collision with a lamp-post or fence (it was close) by yanking the handbrake. A wheel/tire are cheaper to replace than a car.

While I got out to take a look at the wheel, someone hit the aforementioned lamp post and then an Impreza came by sideways, unable to stop. Shitty-in-all-seasons tires are just that.

Damn son looks like you cracked your hubcap. I guess you'll have to replace that too.

I hear autozone is having a sale on custom spinner hubcaps, you should pick some up! I hear they give you like an extra 10hp plus they'll look sick with your neon washer nozzles and Lexus style headlights that you're planning on putting on.

Jk haha, thank God for steelies, otherwise you would be out a lot more.

$50 for the new steelie from a junkyard + $15 to mount and balance my old tire on the new rim = :D
And yes, believe it or not the tire was fine.

You spent quite a bit of time pulling the handbrake, learning how to control the car in parking lots.

Now, I think you need to master new techniques: trail braking and shifting the cars weight in a corner. Learn that, and your car will astonishingly fast in a corner. When I owned my Sunfire, I practiced both of those on a downhill/uphill run nearly every weekend. The car had squat for power, but with a stiff rear swaybar, a peculiarly sensitive throttle and grippy tires that J body could fly in a corner.
