Picture-In-Picture on my widescreen TV... :D

Xbox playing some car movie on the left, Chelsea beating Bayern Munchen on the right (4-2).

:tvhappy:

Who can watch two programmes simultaneously ? I think it is the most useless feature ever.

now that is very very cool. Only thing is, i dont like widescreen cause some shows are all wide n shit. Is that true or I just dont know shit bout widescreen tvs?

Swek, you raise a good point but I guess you can momentarily pause look at the other screen then continue to play and monitor the tv side with ur ears.

does sound complicated, but heck we are the videogame generation.

more like the lazy genraation: one show at a time isn't enough for the common couch potato: now we need 2!

How true, my father still can't believe that it is possible to speak on the phone while surfing the web, watch tv, play console etc. He refuses to speak to me if he notices that I'm doing something incidently.
How times change. Surely our children will do all these things while watching twenty programmes.

I love multi tasking. I can be playing a game and having a conversation, but I still manage to say the lines of the Simpsons as it is playing on tv. 8)

No, everything is in it's original proportion. Sadly, that means 80% of TV shows are in 4:3 which means black borders on each side. But Top Gear and Fifth Gear are good guys, both in 16:9 using my whole screen! :)

Just got that TV by the way, very nice, cost only ~800 USD.

The football wasn't that exciting at this point, but still wanted to be up to speed if somebody scored. But you don't need to split it:

Here's NRK1 (Norwegian broadcasting) actually showing Top Gear by coincidence, while I have my Xbox with XBMC down in the right corner.

It's not a very important feature in a TV, but sure is fun :) And sometimes practical.

For bonus points, which Top Gear episode am I watching?

I remember my Dad hooking up the PIP box into our old TV. I thought it was the coolest thing ever, I wanted my Dad to hook it up to make it work with my SNES, but my Dad got pissed at the box and subsequently broke it with brute force and anger.

I betcha PIP has come a long way since the early 90's.

thats old shit PnP i have it in my Sony TV. its a good function though. b4 i had to guess when the ads finshed, with pnp never!

What sucks though, is I have this digital decoder for my cable, and even though my TV has two tuners, I can only get the one digital signal... so I can only switch/PiP between the free (analog) cable channels, and not the full digital package. But good for playing Xbox or DVD's in a commercial break.
