According to SCEE's launch list, the 21st of November 2007 GT5 PRologue will be out in Europe. The game hasn't even been presented and they already have a launch date!

I'm really looking forward seeing this prologue, and I hope we will be able to see damage in the cars and cockpit view!!!!

Sony lie about launch dates so we shouldn't expect much, for example where the hell is GT for the PSP? has it died or something.

Well, this is just the prologue version...

@above That's a trailer mind you. I'll go out and BUY a PS3 if it looks that good.

that actually looks very similar to current GTHD demo, wheels in (spinning) motion much improved of course. On top of that, it's not hard to believe its picture quality if you have seen the real-time Killzone2 (and other games) video released during E3.

plus I don't think Sony's stupid enough to release a pre-rendered video and pass it off as gameplay again, especially for a major title like GT

wow think ill put a note on my dashboard saying buy PS3 when GT5 comes out

Pretty sure most of the footage shown in the trailer is in video mode (Replay). Like in GT4 it all looks a little better in video mode so it wouldn't surprise me, if that is what they are showing. I'm still in no doubt that it will look fantastic.
Something I think will be interesting is to see what they have done with the engine notes. The sounds in the trailer are pretty good, but surely not in-game.

New Trailer, and it is, excuse the language, fucking awesome.
Gloriously awesome HD trailer

The details are excellent, and the cars look more dynamic for some reason, particularly in shots of the Viper. And the amount of cars on track . It could be only 12 but more cars is good. I think I must have a PS3 with this game, even if it's just the Prologue.

But the reactions of the white TT going off the track are slightly disappointing. Looks much the same as in GT4. Had hoped they would have done a little more development in that area.

TOKYO--At the PlayStation Premiere 2007 press conference held in Roppongi Hills yesterday, major Japanese game publishers announced the latest status on the development of their PlayStation 3 titles, and also unveiled a few new games that weren't shown at last week's E3 Media & Business Summit in California.

For the first time in Japan, Polyphony Digital showed off Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. Studio head Kazunori Yamauchi played a demo of the game, showing how its menu options have been seamlessly integrated with online features, such as a profile editor and an online event calendar. Going on a race, Yamauchi showed how Gran Turismo 5 can run with up to 16 cars on the track, and with more sophisticated artificial intelligence than in previous series installments.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is scheduled to come out in Japan in October to coincide with the Tokyo Motor Show, where a number of new Japanese sports cars that are included in the game will make their debut. For those fluent in Japanese, the game's official Web site has more details.

It's looking good. 8)

I don't care too much about AI and crashes,
most time I spent in GT was in Time Trial mode
and obtaining licenses.
