I noticed in a game shop the other day they had GTA V dummy cases with a Windows logo on top in the PC section, so I dunno if that means anything, whether they're just incredibly hopeful or what .

That was probably just the Microsoft Windows Live Gaming thingie crap icon which you had to register with for GTA4 too.., thus it was probably an xbox-version.. .

Uhhh... you know that Windows Live is just the PC equivalent of Xbox live? You don't have to register for it on the xbox, the idea that you would is pretty silly.

Max Payne 3 came out on PC a month after the console, and the port was said to be quite optimised.

GTAV and Max Payne share the same engine version, so its possible that the porting issues from GTAIV won't appear again.

Tad disappointed with this though. I thought the Lamborghini lookalike would be more Aventadorish.

The Infernus is more of a Diablo clone than a Lamborghini clone, but yeah I guess you never know.

If this takes place in the same era and country as GTA IV (which it appears to), a lot of the cars will be borrowed. But since we have makes and models now, it's the "Pegassi Infernus" and Pegassi is the Lambo equivalent

Actually when I first saw that Infernus screen shot it looked remarkably similar. I thought maybe there was a lookalike in Burnout but after googling a bit, it looks exactly like the one in IV! I couldn't remember it because I had a lot of car mods in IV.

Isn't V suppose to be in San Andreas? Burrowing cars from IV feels really wrong to me. Especially since this is a new GTA!


Here is a fun little thing I found. Apparently the Pegassi Bati 800 is modeled off a Ducati. Now we now that Pegassi is R*s Lambo equivalent AND we know that the Real life Lambo bought Ducati. So did R* knew about this the whole time?

GTA V is in Los Santos, a city in the state of San Andreas, USA. Liberty City is on the east coast of USA. Makes sense that there would be a lot of the same cars

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the rear of the car in the transporter look like a miura?

Moreover, doesn't this mean we finally have functional transporters? It also seems to be a normal police version of the Buffalo chasing it, instead of an FIB one.

That Infernus looks exactly like it did in GTAIV, and I agree with Victor; I also think some of the cars from IV will be in this game along with the obvious new additions (I think it will be half from IV and half new cars) simply because it takes place in the same country at around the same time period.

My only concern about the transporter pic is it could be a specific mission. GTA IV did that with the garbage truck for example.

I was sold after reading that for a bit, then I realized this is WAY too much info on the game and Rockstar would never allow that kind of leak. If this was indeed real, Rockstar would quickly find out who leaked the info and kill their families in front of them.

This is the bit that made me feel it was bullshit.

What makes it all that so sweet is every vehicle will include their 1984, 1986, 1992, 1998, 2001, 2008, and 2012 renditions. Even some of the new vehicles will receive this same treatment, such as the Dewbauchee Zagato GT (red convertible in trailer), the Grotti T2 Widow (black convertible in trailer), Pfister Hannover, and the Dinka S-EX

While it would be awesome if it was true (as well as double as a nod to the GTA III era, look at the years.) and rockstar already did generations of cars with the Schafter in GTA IV it seems to me like it's far too much work. Also Zagato is trademarked IIRC.

That would be way too many cars, the old models are completely unusable nowadays so they'd have to do them all over from scratch. Doesn't seem right to me at all. But they might have older and newer versions of some vehicles like the Schafter they've already done.
